Museums Association Conference
We’re excited to welcome the Museums Association Conference to St Fagans National Museum of History on 7 – 8 October. The Museum will remain open to the public during the conference, but your visit will be different.
The main building and Gweithdy will be closed. Entrance to the museum will be via Llwyn-yr-eos Farm (number 10 on the map).
Whilst the indoor galleries in the main building and Gweithdy will be closed, there’s still plenty to see! Our historic buildings and gardens will be open as usual. Come and explore historic buildings moved brick-by-brick to St Fagans from all over Wales.
The cafe in the main building and Gweithdy will be closed but you’ll still be able to buy refreshments from a number of outlets. Enjoy a beer in The Vulcan Hotel, pick up a sandwich, or a coffee and cake in The Buttery, or grab a snack from our airstream on Oakdale green. The bakery will be open for you to buy freshly baked bread.
Gwalia Stores and Siop Losin will be open for you to browse unique Welsh products and gifts.
Toilets and baby change facilities will be available in:
- Llwyn-yr-eos Yard
- Oakdale Workmen’s Institute
- The Vulcan Hotel
- Toilets block near Rhyd-y-car Terrace
Our car park will be open as usual.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Fagans. We hope to see you soon!
