Awards and Launch Evenings

Whether you’re looking to host an awards evening, a launch event or a special one-off occasion, National Museum Cardiff offers a unique venue in the heart of the Welsh capital.

You’ll find no grander setting than our iconic Grand Hall. An adaptable space able to host up to 400 for a standing event, or between 280 and 300 in various seating arrangements, boasting magnificent marble staircases and a glorious high-domed ceiling. The hall comfortably hosts staging and presentation set-ups. Fully accessible by ramp through the main doors and with lifts to each level, including the bathrooms.

Our stunning galleries, hosting one of the finest collections of impressionist art in Europe, also make for a unrivalled backdrop for more intimate occasions and ceremonies or for an arrival drinks reception.

Our beautiful Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre, a unique Grade I listed building, is another perfect option for hosting an awards ceremony. Why not follow that up with a post-ceremony reception in our Grand Hall or Galleries.

Talk to our team about making your evening truly your event, whether brand colour lighting, technical support or bringing in space dressing and to find out more about catering options.

For spectacular entertainment we can host performances from dancers, choirs, classical artists, bands and more. Speak to our expert team for recommendations.

For accommodation Cardiff has plenty of hotels to choose for your guests, but National Museum Cardiff has a special offer with the Clayton Hotel giving delegates 15% discounted accommodation rates when booked using our client link, which we can share once your event is confirmed with us.
