When did the trips from Liverpool to Llandudno finish. I seem to remember doing that trip but I was born in 1961, so if they finishes in 1962 I would not be able to remember it!!

I have a copy of 'Past and Present Steamers of North Wales' by F C Thornley, published in 1962. The book mentions that there was a barber's shop on the ST TUDNO. I guess that in those days men might have gone to a barber's shop for a shave.
The ST SEIRIOL's maiden voyage was on 23 May 1931 so the poster must have been produced after 1930.

I remember my father, who was a hairdresser in the Liverpool area, telling me, (I think!), that he worked on the ferry to Llandudno as a barber. This would probably have been in the early 1930s when he was a young man. I have no idea if I have remembered this correctly but I haven’t been able to find any evidence of there being such a service on the ferry. Is there any possibility that this could be correct?

My Husband and I sailed from Liverpool to Llandudno in the 60's with the North Cheshire Cruising Club on an annual Day Trip. I thought that this trip had restarted, but cannot find any information about it. Would love to do the trip again in my lifetime.

When I was about 3 (1953) I went on a trip with my mum and auntie from Liverpool to Llandudno on one of the ships. A little boy ran off with my doll. Mum soon recovered her. The dolls name was Precious One.

When I was a kid - born 1946 - our mum took us to Benlech (?) Bay. Steam train to liverpool, St Tudno to Menai. What an adventure.

My mum + dad use to take me on the boat/ ship from Liverpool to Llandodno to Menai Straits for a days ' Cruise ' in the summer holidays, loved it. Happy memories. Whenever I visit Llandodno + walk on the pier I find it hard to believe that the ship stopped there.

If my memory serves me correctly, I used to work in Clatterbridge Hospital between 1957 and 1962 in the headquarters of the Central Wirral Grouo of Hospitals. During my time there there was a pass for two passengers to sail to Llandudno on either of these two boats. These passes were for the exclusive use of the Nursing staff at the hospital.

I worked on this ship in my school summer holidays in 1961. I loved it and at the end of the season many of the staff were moving onto the Empress of Canada and asked me to join them but I didn't travel very well in rough weather and was afraid too. Silly me!
