Awarded to Robert Ralph Williams, O.B.E., M.A., Director of Education for the Rhondda, when headmaster of Clydach Vale school, for gallantry in the Clydach Vale flood disaster of 1910.

This Albert Medal was manufactured by the Royal Mint. In the 19th century, it was manufactured by Phillips in London.

My g.g.grandfather Charles Baynham was awarded the Albert Medal 2nd.class,following the Tynewydd mining disaster in 1877.
I would love to leave evidence of that act to my grandchildren.
I understand you have some 5 such medals in your collection,any possibility that his my be amongst them?
