Science at the Waterfront | Meet the Bee’s

Have you ever wondered what happens inside a beehive? What do bees do, and why are they so special?  Come and join our Museum Beekeeper, Alyson Williams, as she explains the life of a honeybee and all the activities you will find inside a hive. 

✏️Take Part 

You will have an opportunity to view a honeybee frame and learn about the lifecycle of honeybees, hives, and honey harvesting. 

ℹ️About this session 

This workshop does contain live bees, but all will be contained in a lock box during the workshop. Please be aware of any allergies before booking and attending. 

Please note: This workshop is only available during Spring and Summer school terms. 

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: Led by Museum staff - £40 for up to 15 pupils, £60 for up to 35. Free for some schools (see booking information).
