St Fagans is a living history museum where you can explore the past and learn about how people lived.
You may have been here before, or it may be your first time.
We are The Secret Garden project, part of Innovate Trust, a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. We manage and care for a private garden in the museum and have also researched the history of the site and the people who lived here.
Today we want to share what we’ve learnt with you and give you a different St Fagans experience.
We have created 2 heritage trails which will guide you through the site and provide some new information about the buildings and the people who lived here.

Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage.
The Secret Garden is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to work with adults with learning disabilities and other additional needs to explore the rich history of Ysgubor Fawr cottage and nurture its garden.
