Learning Activity

The Aberfan Disaster

As part of Aberfan 60, we have created learning resources to support schools in exploring the history of the Aberfan disaster and its lasting impact on families, communities and Wales as a whole.

Drawing on objects, stories and archives from our collections, the resources include digital learning materials, teacher guidance and professional learning content. They form part of Stori Cymru, a national programme funded by Adnodd and led by Amgueddfa Cymru in partnership with cultural organisations across Wales. More resources will be published here in the coming weeks.
