Four-Millionth Visit Day at the National Waterfront Museum

2023-04-28On Saturday 29 April the museum will be proudly celebrating its Four-Millionth Visit Day, when all visitors will be offered a complimentary Welsh Cake when they buy a drink in its café.
Since opening its doors in October 2005, the National Waterfront Museum has been telling the story of industry and innovation in Wales, now and over the last 300 years.
As well as a fascinating temporary exhibition on the Swansea Canal, visitors can discover in the core displays the many ways in which Welsh industry and innovations shaped the nation’s people and communities.
From historical machinery, vehicles and other ‘big things’, to fantastic fun-filled events, the National Waterfront Museum has something for everyone.
Steph Mastoris, Head of the National Waterfront Museum said:
“The National Waterfront Museum is at the heart of the community here in the Swansea region. We are a hub for community groups, we work with incredible volunteers, we have a fantastic team of people and welcome visitors from near and far.
Our Four-Millionth Visit Day is a proud milestone for the museum, especially in the year in which the museum will also be celebrating its 18th birthday on 17 October.
Thank you to all our partner organisations for their ongoing support and to all our visitors over the last seventeen-and-a-half years.
We look forward to welcoming the next four million visits as we continue to tell the story of industry and innovation in Wales.”
