Join us for some festive fun at the National Slate Museum this Christmas!
Step out of the cold and enjoy some cosy festive traditions as you visit our quarry workers’ homes - decorated through the decades!You will have the chance to:
- Take part in a craft workshop with the Elves and meet Father Christmas *
- Enjoy storytime with Siân Corn (Mother Christmas)
- Create a Rag Wreath*
- Make Pomanders
- Join in some carol singing with local choirs and brass bands
- Jump aboard our Miniature Steam Train

Open Daily 10am - 5pm
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.
Eat, drink, shop
- Our coffee shop serves a small range of hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks.
- The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
Location Parking
Ample parking nearby, for cars and coaches. Please note there is a charge for the carpark.
Padarn Country Park car park is owned and operated by Gwynedd Council. The parking costs £4.50 – and there is a card facility payment. (www.paybyphone.co.uk/ or use the paybyphone app / Location 804552) If you can only pay by cash please be aware that we are unable to supply change at this time.
