Join us for Engineous - a full day of scientific activities and fun for all the family!
Our theme is POWER so there will be all sorts of activities to explore creating power, as well as a show from our favourite Cyw scientist Sbarc, and there may be a visit from a special robot too!
What can I do?
- Sbarduno Workshops*
- Watch Sbarc’s Show - a fun show for all the family led by S4C Cyw’s scientist*
- Visit Bangor University’s Robot
- Create electricity with Bangor University’s scientists
- Take a ride on the miniature steam train
- Learn how our gigantic Water Wheel creates power
- Crafts and activities with our “silly scientists"
*Note, there is an additional cost for the Sbarduno activities and the Sbarc show and tickets will need to be purchased in advance.

Open Daily 10am - 5pm
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.
Eat, drink, shop
- Our coffee shop serves a small range of hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks.
- The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
Location Parking
Ample parking nearby, for cars and coaches. Please note there is a charge for the carpark.
Padarn Country Park car park is owned and operated by Gwynedd Council. The parking costs £4.50 – and there is a card facility payment. (www.paybyphone.co.uk/ or use the paybyphone app / Location 804552) If you can only pay by cash please be aware that we are unable to supply change at this time.
