Event:Banner making sessions to celebrate 150th anniversary of Quarrymen's Union

National Slate Museum
Finished

Did you know it's 150 years since the formation of the North Wales Quarrymen's Union?

The Union was established on 27 April 1874 to help protect the rights and working conditions of the slate quarrymen.

Carrying flags and banners at trade union events has always been an important way of representation and demonstration and we need your help to create a collaborative banner that will be carried from the Museum to Craig yr Undeb, Llanberis (Union Rock) on 27th April to mark this important anniversary.

There are 2 locations where you can come and take part:

  • 19 April: Canolfan Cefnfaes in Bethesda 1pm -3pm  or 7pm - 9pm
  • 23 April: Y Festri in Llanberis 1pm - 3pm or 7pm - 9pm

Open to all ages! Free!
