Event:Behind Closed Doors!

National Slate Museum
Finished

Do you have a connection with Dinorwig Quarry?

Would you like to be part of a creative new project?

If so - come along to the National Slate Museum on 13 September to  be part of a creative session with author and actress Rhian Cadwaladr.

This is your chance to bring history to life by helping Rhian create a new character based on what you have to say about the history of the quarry.

Rhian will guide you around the domestic areas of the museum and then lead on the work of creating a new character.

Our aim is to ensure that the voices of the residents of the local community are central to the work that is produced.

You are welcome to bring your own photos / objects if you have some to share.

The session is FREE, open to everyone and there's no need to book in advance - just call in. For more information email slate@museumwales.ac.uk

Part of the museum's redevelopment project - funded by UK Government via Gwynedd Council as part of the Llewrch o'r Llechi project, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Welsh Government and other fundraising.
