Event:LGBT+ poetry workshop

National Slate Museum
Finished
LGBT+ Poetry Workshop

Join us for a unique poetry workshop, hosted by poet Buddug Roberts.

This event invites members of the LGBT+ community across North Wales to explore their voices through poetry, while also reflecting on the stories of quarrymen and individuals who had to hide their identity due to the social pressures of their time.

The workshop will begin with a tour of the museum, offering an insight into the rich history of the slate industry, followed by a poetry writing session in the Museum's CABAN.
Whether you are an experienced poet or a beginner, come and share your creativity, connect with others, and think more about the unheard voices of the past.

A warm welcome to all!

This event is part of National Slate Museum's redevelopment project's engagement activities. The project is funded by UK Government via Gwynedd Council as part of the Llewyrch o'r Llechi project, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Welsh Government and other fundraising.
