Whilst we are closed, our next step is to continue our story beyond the walls of the museum. While all the planning, renovation and refitting work take place – we want to make the most of this unique opportunity and we’ll be taking our people, our collections and our stories to partner locations at the heart of the slate story communities.
Join us at Gwyl y Glaw in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Come to see some of our collection, including the ‘Caban Mills’ Eisteddfod Chair, and take part in the Eisteddfod of the Objects to choose which object from Blaenau Ffestiniog in our collection will be voted as the winner. There will also be a quarryman outside of the Aelwyd demonstrating his craft throughout the afternoon.
