online:Museum Talks: Celebrate a beautiful new book on Welsh ceramics

Finished

Amgueddfa Cymru is home to the world’s finest collection of Welsh pottery and porcelain. There hasn’t been a new book on the subject for fifty years – until now. Join us to hear how the collection has grown and about the industry and skills behind it. You’ll hear about the flourishing of the ceramics industry in south Wales between 1764 and 1922 – a fascinating story of local pride and international ambition. We also discover the people behind the remarkable successes achieved in the face of practical and economic challenges. Above all, the book reveals how the manufacture of pottery and porcelain is among the great Welsh industrial and artistic successes.

6pm - This session will be held in Welsh Tocynnau
