Amgueddfa Cymru Food Festival - 12-13 September 2020 (Digital)

About the Festival

St Fagans Food Festival is an annual event usually held in the grounds of St Fagans National Museum of History. Established in 2010, this free-entry event has grown from humble beginnings to attracting an annual average of 25,000 visitors over a weekend: offering a showcase of Welsh food & drink producers and crafters, as well as a full programme of entertainment, activities and demonstrations.

The event strives to educate visitors on food production and healthy eating in a fun and interactive way, and the historic buildings as well as the Museum’s working farm creates a unique setting for a live food event.

With all large-scale events currently prohibited until further notice, we are very excited to announce that the 2020 Food Festival will be going digital! Gŵyl Fwyd Amgueddfa Cymru Food Festival will be held on September 12 & 13, and you can join in this online event by following Amgueddfa Cymru on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Crowdcast. Each platform will act as a separate ‘festival tent or area’ – with family-friendly workshops, cooking demos, panel discussions, live music, virtual market, and a range of activities and stories inspired by food-related items in the Museum’s collection.
