Amgueddfa Cymru Food Festival 6-12 September 2021 (Digital)

Event Info & FAQs

  • Date: Monday 06/09/21 - Sunday 12/09/21
  • When is everything on? Content will be shared across our social media pages throughout the week, with live participatory activities such as online courses, talks & tasting sessions in the evenings and during the weekend. The full festival schedule can be found here.
  • Do I need to register in advance? Most of the event programme will be shared throughout the week on social media. There are some ticketed activities which must be purchased in advance. We would also recommend that you register (for free) to access the live talks.
  • How can I watch? The festival activities will be streamed on Amgueddfa Cymru’s Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram, as well as the Food Festival website. Click here to see the festival schedule and a breakdown of where each activity will be streamed.
  • Can I catch up another time? Yes – all videos will still be available on their respective platforms after the festival weekend, as well as on Amgueddfa Cymru’s YouTube channel. A recording of the live talks will also be made available on YouTube after the event.
  • Do I have to pay? Most of the event programme is free, but don’t forget that Amgueddfa Cymru is a registered charity. All support is gratefully appreciated to help us continue to work with the communities of Wales and fulfil our role as Wales’ national museum. You can make a one-off, monthly, quarterly or annual donation here, or please also consider joining our National Museum Wales Membership Scheme.
  • How can I order food or drink from the traders? Head over to our Online Market where you can browse the digi-stalls, chat to our traders and discover fantastic Welsh food & drink. For all enquiries and orders, you will need to contact the traders directly.
  • Why is the event digital again this year? To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and volunteers, Amgueddfa Cymru's live public events programme continues online. The situation around delivering major events this year is still uncertain and guidelines are changing regularly. Following the success of last year’s digital festival, it is clear that online presence will be a large part of the event's future at it continues to grow and evolve. We look forward to re-introducing a live festival with a complementing digital programme in the future.
