Exhibition:Champions of Knitwear

National Wool Museum
Finished

On 3 September, 2022, WWE held its first major stadium event in the UK in 30 years at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

To celebrate, knitters from across Cardiff who are part of handicraft school Twin Made, came together to create a bespoke WWE jumper and WWE Championship Title. Now you can see the jumper one more time before it goes into private hands.

This unique knitted jumper is made from 100% locally sourced sheep’s wool. It blends famous Welsh motifs with iconic WWE elements including the Clash at the Castle logo. It took 8 people 140 hours to create.

The jumper was presented to WWE Superstar, Drew McIntyre, on his arrival into Cardiff city ahead of the ‘WWE Clash at the Castle’ event.
