An event for adult learners of Welsh....Tickets must be booked in advance (spaces are limited). Book your tickets below!

In partnership with Menter Gorllewin Sir Gâr & Dysgu Cymraeg- Ceredigion, Powys & Sir Gâr .

  • 10am-11am: A wet felting workshop with Head Craftsperson, Non Mitchell. Learn a new skill while learning Welsh! (Free- Booking is essential. Spaces are limited) 
  • 11.30am-12.30pm:  Enjoy a guided tour with our Head Craftsperson, Non Mitchell around the National Wool Museum. Discover more about the fleece to fabric process and see demonstrations by our trainee craftspersons on the historic machinery whilst learning Welsh!  (Free- no need to book a ticket)

  • 12.30pm-1.30pm: Join us for a fun session with world record-breaking clogging champion Tudur Phillips, who will be on hand to teach basic clog dance steps for you whilst practicing your Welsh.(Booking is essential- Pay what you can £3 or £5. Spaces are limited)
  • 1.30-2.30pm: A musical delight!   Join musician Delyth Jenkins and learn Welsh through song and music in a fun and informal way.  (Free- no need to book a ticket)

  •  2.30pm-3.30pm: Sketchy Welsh 

Joshua Morgan is a professional illustrator based in Cardiff. Recently, he has been illustrating his way through the Welsh language under the banner of Sketchy Welsh. Sketchy Welsh combines Welsh sentences with memorable illustration in attempt to help make the learning process easier and more enjoyable.

In his workshop, he will be inviting people to try some of the mediums and techniques that he uses to illustrate and make the learning of Welsh even more meaningful. (Booking is essential- Pay what you can £3 or £5. Spaces are limited)

Opening Hours

Our opening hours are changing for the winter season.

From Tuesday 5 November until 28 February 2025, we will be open Tuesday – Saturday between 10am – 4pm.

Eat, drink, shop

Our café serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. Please note that the museum café closes at 3pm. The Museum shop will be open during your visit. You are welcome to bring a picnic , while there’s nowhere to eat these within the museum, there are benches outside which make for a nice spot.

Parking

Please note that the car park gates will be locked at 5pm. So if your vehicle is still in the car park after 5pm, we hope you brought a sleeping bag!
