Event: 'Stori Fawr Dre-Fach Felindre' Website Open Day

The website, 'Stori Fawr Dre-fach Felindre' is a gateway to seeing photographs and stories which the community of Dre-fach Felindre have shared. On the day will be:

(To remember the contribution of the late Olive Campden)

  • Exhibition of the historical content of the website on screen.
  • Books from the local area by local authors,
  • A collection of files and historical photographs and resources.
  • Exhibition tables, photographs and information about Griffith Jones. 

11am:  Official opening by the Chair of Carmarthenshire County Council and items by Ysgol Penboyr. Presentation of the school competition. 

11.30am: Crafts for the children: Spinning and weaving.
 

12.00pm:  A presentation in English by Peter Stopp about Griffith Jones, Llanddowror.

1.30yp:  A conversation in Welsh by Eifion Davies 'Towy Cole Jones' Collection.
 

2.30yp: A conversation in Welsh by Peter Hughes Griffiths on the 'Influence of the Lewis Family on the Woollen Industry in the Area' .
 

Tea and Coffee provided fore free for all in the morning.
