Taking place after hours in National Museum Cardiff’s main hall, this unique paint along experience is one you won’t want to miss.
Whether you’re passionate about painting or fancy trying something new, this event is for everyone – no experience is required to take part.
Unwind and switch off while learning a new skill or two. This is the perfect midweek evening event for friends, colleagues, and couples.
Gather your friends, grab a drink at the bar, and get painting!
To celebrate our temporary exhibition Art of the Selfie, featuring Van Gogh’s Portrait of the Artist (1887) that’s on loan from Musee D’Orsay, Paris, this paint along event will focus on turning selfies into self-portrait masterpieces!
Take a selfie and learn how to paint a self portrait in the style and colour palette of Van Gogh.
*Please bring your smartphone to the event to use as a subject point. If you don’t fancy painting a portrait of yourself, take a picture of someone near and dear to you before arriving, and paint them instead.
This experience is hosted by local artist Rachel Rasmussen. She will guide you through step-by-step instructions while painting along with you.
