Talk:Behind the Scenes: Prehistoric stone tools from Welsh Caves
A chance to see some of the Museum's collection of prehistoric stone tools and learn about some of the historic excavations that have taken place in Wales' caves.
This visit will take you into the Archaeology artefact study room which is where all new discoveries about the archaeological collections are made.
You will find out about the work going on to research, record and document tools, including some as old as 230,000 years old made by Neanderthals and found in Pontnewydd Cave, Denbighshire.
Booking Information
- The tour will last for approximately 45 minutes. Please meet at the Ticketing Desk in the Main Hall.
- The tour costs £8 per person.
- The tour will be in the curator's first language which is English.
- Due to the behind-the-scenes nature of the tour there will be some spaces which will require you to be in close proximity to other visitors and the curator.
- Tickets are non-refundable, and no refunds or exchanges will be given to latecomers.
