Event:Red Ribbon Project
Join us for The Red Ribbon Project, a powerful and moving experience that brings together live music, visual art, and personal storytelling to explore HIV, identity, and resilience in Wales today.
Rooted in queer history and lived experience, this event features a newly commissioned music performance by Welsh-Australian artist Niamh Jacqueline O’Donnell, accompanied by portrait-based visual art by Darren Varnam. A panel discussion with artists, healthcare professionals, and community voices, offers space for reflection and conversation, followed by a music performance of a piano trio: saxophone, violin and piano.
Presented in partnership with the Arts Council Wales, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Fast Track, NHS, local Council, and leading HIV activists, Prosiect Rhuban Rhudd invites audiences to consider how art can challenge stigma, celebrate courage, and imagine a hopeful future: "A beautiful and honest collaboration where art speaks louder than fear."
