Event:Opening Celebration for To Shift a Stone
Join us for an afternoon of activities to celebrate the opening of To Shift a Stone.
Programme:
- 1pm: A performance by Rubie and George H. Wale
Rubie and George, two of Sophie’s collaborators will share a performance using tools from the exhibition. This will start in the Main Hall and move to the galleries.
- 1.30pm: Highlight Tour led by a staff member or collaborating artists
An opportunity to meet one of Sophie’s collaborators, either a member of Amgueddfa Cymru staff or one of the collaborating artists. They’ll take you on a Mini Museum Tour sharing their experience of being part of the team working on To Shift a Stone and highlighting some of the artworks and collection items in the exhibition.
Tours can be booked on the day at the welcome desk. Spaces are limited.
- 2pm: Whispered reading (invocation) of I enter through the dome, as metaphor and light by Katherine Agyemaa Agard
A performance by various project collaborators, in the Centre Block Art Galleries.
- 2.30pm: Highlight Tour led by a staff member or collaborating artists

The programme will be delivered in the artists’ and curators’ first language which is English.
