Welcoming in the Entrance
Croeso is not as simple as it sounds. How does Amgueddfa Cymru welcome us in?
Join Bianca Ali, Osian Grifford and JT (Islet, Ya Yonder) to hear the entrance hall, and its forms of welcoming, in new light. This sound performance activates two new artworks on display in the entrance hall through spoken word, live drums and synths. Drawing on workshops and conversations with Sophie Mak-Schram as part of To Shift a Stone over 2023-2025, the artworks and resulting performance present new writing, drawings and sound about different experiences of welcome, comfort and history in entering Amgueddfa Cymru.
