Talk:Turner at 250 - Gallery Talk
Join us in celebrating the birth of Joseph Milord William Turner (1775 – 1851).
As part of the ‘Turner at 250’ display, curator Melanie Polledri will be giving a gallery talk surrounded by works from one of the greatest British painters.
The talk considers how and why Turner’s unconventional approach, from his early watercolours to his sublime oil paintings, made him so modern for his time.
The works on display were bequeathed to Amgueddfa Cymru by the iconic collectors, Gwendoline and Margaret Davies; they commemorate Turner’s legacy in Wales.
