The third in a series of visits to the Archaeology Conservation Lab for an update on the analysis and  conservation of the 1st century hoard of Iron Age and Roman vessels from Monmouthshire, recently acquired by Amgueddfa Cymru, which was lifted in a block of soil for excavation under laboratory conditions.

Booking Information 

  • The tour will last for approximately 60 minutes.  Please meet at the Ticketing Desk in the Main Hall.
  • This talk takes place in the Archaeology Conservation Laboratory. Anyone entering the lab must wear toed shoes, no sandals.
  • The tour costs £8 per person.
  • The tour will be in the curator's first language which is English.
  • Due to the behind-the-scenes nature of the tour there will be some spaces which will require you to be in close proximity to other visitors and the curator.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, and no refunds or exchanges will be given to latecomers.
