Hailing from Neath, South Wales, Thomas Howell studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (made possible through a generous scholarship from the Macdonald foundation).
Tom served as Organ Scholar of Chichester Cathedral for two years, where he recorded on the Regent CD 'What joy so true' to celebrate Thomas Weelkes.
Subsequently, he has been the parish organist of English Martyrs’ RC Church, Sparkhill for the last four years.
Competition successes have included winning the '24 and '25 Corton Hyde Early Music Prize and winner of the '25 Dame Gillian Weir Messiaen Prize.
Recent recital venues have included Westminster Abbey and Hull City Hall. His current area of research is pre-reformation English liturgical organ music.
As capacity is limited in the gallery, pre-booking is essential.
