Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Slate

A blue (Dinorwig 'Redwood') carved slate slab (part of which is missing), which would originally formed part of a fireplace surround. It has various patterns and emblems carved into ot, and these include flower blossom, fleur-de-lys, hearts, grapes, diamonds, and other geometric patterns. The date 1886 is also carved in what is the (present) centre of the slate slab. There are several mounting holes.
