Penny farthing ordinary bicyle, about 1880.

50" diameter front wheel and 16" diameter rear wheel. Spoon brake operated by a lever on right hand handlebar. Curved handlebars with elm grips. Adjustable rubber cushioned pedals. Mounting peg above rear wheel and trouser guard over front wheel. Non original black pauint with gold lining tape, "Vee" belt tyres, "Brookes" leather saddle and wooden brake lever grip.
