Hughes, Olwen (Born and brought up in Rhymney. Educated in Wales, she later lived and worked in Leicester. She provided illustrations for various publications and her work appeared regularly in the Western Mail and Leicester Mercury. She was awarded MBE in 2002 ‘for services to the community’.)
One of a set of drawings commemorating the retirement of Hugh Jones B.E.M. from The Welsh Slate Museum. Mr Jones was awarded B.E.M. in the New Years Honours in 1982.
