Butter-dish and cover
Oblong butter dish and lid, white earthenware with 'Creation' glaze, which is blue-grey in colour with uneven brown speckles, the dish has a rectangular foot ring and stepped sides, the cover is oblong and domed; 'Moon' pattern, the edge of the dish is coloured with a painted band of iron oxide, giving an uneven finish, the cover has at its centre a circle of matt, bright blue glaze enricled with a hand-painted border of iron oxide, underwhich is an inky blue glaze that has flown into the surrounding clear glaze, the lower edge is embellished with a band of deep blue and inky blue glazes
