Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Rhymney ironworks, photograph

Freke, Alfred (Mr) (Photographer)

Union (east bank) rail bank with rail presses and saws in sheds to right, and tramroads in foreground with rolls on roll wagons from Union mills and forges (just visible on extreme left). Viewpoint is looking west from a little east of northeast corner of Union forges. As this photo is part of a set along with the remainder of this accession, it is presumed to be of same date, i.e. post 1880/81 and pre 1891.
