Child's plate, white earthenware, inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded in relief with roses and honeysuckle between floral swags; the well transfer-printed in black outline and in-filled in yellow, green, orange and brown enamels with a male and female figure in a rural landscape with a church in the background, over the scene is the inscription 'FOR MY DEAR GIRL', the roses and honeysuckle to the rim painted in enamels, a brown edge to the rim.
