Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Cymmer Colliery, photograph

Pithead at Cymmer Colliery showing trams of "raced" coal with three workmen, taken near the shaft top. The man in the centre is probably the winding engineman who has come to have his photograph taken. The man in the left is probably a haulier, judging by his traditional neckchief knot. The man on the right holds his tommy box.
