Badge produced by Lesbians and Gay Men Support the Miners (LGSM) in 1985, and worn by Mark Ashton, co-founder of LGSM. LGSM was founded by Mark Ashton and Mike Jackson to support striking miners during the 1984-85 miners’ strike. The London branch twinned with the Neath, Dulais and Swansea Valley Miners’ Support Group, which embraced several collieries from the three valleys.
