Coffee cup, soft-paste porcelain, an adaption of the London shape with short foot and trumpet-like sides, hair-pin handle; decorated with the 'roses' pattern in pink enamel and gilt, with around the upper interior sides a wide border of pink roses and gilt leaves with a gilt band and foliate border below, to the interior bottom of the cup a gilt star-like motif, around the centre of the exterior sides a stylized border of gilt leaves and flower heads, a gilt line around the foot, a gilt dentil edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt.
