This commemorative medal for the opening of the Queen Alexandra Dock, Cardiff in 1907 was issued to every school child in Cardiff. Circular bronze disc depicting King & Queen crowned, in profile with band reading "King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra " on obverse side. On reverse side the Cardiff City Crest above which a garland reading " On the Occasion of the Opening of " below scroll "Queen Alexandra Dock" surrounded by band reading "The King & Queen & HRH Princess Victoria 13 July 1907. Surrounded by band "To commemorate the Visit to the City of Cardiff of"
