Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Shoe lace

Stonewall UK (Issuer)

Unused pair of Stonewall ‘Rainbow Laces’ in original packing. These laces were first launched by Stonewall in 2013, to promote LGBTQ+ equality and tackle homophobia in sport. This pair was given out to people attending 'Football: Everybody’s Game”, a collaborative event between Stonewall Cymru and Football v Homophobia Cymru at Cardiff City stadium on the 22 February 2023. The three-panel event looked into the past, present and future of LGBTQ+ inclusion in football in Wales. The event aimed to reach out to people who would like to gain a better understanding of how LGBTQ+ inclusiveness currently looks in the game, to then how we can change it to make the game more inclusive here in Wales.

Pair of 6-colour rainbow laces made of synthetic fibre; with clear plastic aglets at the ends. Each lace is rolled up onto itself; the two rolled up laces are then wrapped with a strip of brown paper which is held in place with adhesive. The paper is printed in black lettering, some of which is filled in with coloured print.
