mv. BRITISH CAUTION (8552gt) : Tanker built 1946 by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson, Wallsend, for British Tanker Co. Ltd., London. 4-cylinder Doxford type diesel engine was made by the shipbuilder. 1956 – Owners restyled as BP Tanker Co. Ltd. 1959 – Laid up at Barry No.1 Dock. She was towed to Newport in December 1961 where she was broken up by J. Cashmore Ltd. (SEE NOTES) (shipsnostalgia.com/ BParchive)
