Fabric

Fabric sample, white cotton, rectangular in shape with one curved edge, three edges are pinked and the fourth is a selvedge; screen-printed with a pattern called 'Figwart Stripe' by Alexander Hardie Williamson, comprising a repeating motif of broad vertical stripes in pink, with stylised stems and shoots to the left and leaves to the right, this is alternated with a repeating motif of a narrow, black vertical line printed over a wider light blue strip with, to either side, off-centred scallops in relief, bordered in brown.
