He was born on 25 August 1912 and with his brother Ivor Jones worked at the Wyllie Colliery. Both brothers lived at 2 Myrtle Cottages, Ynysddu. Bottom right is the donor's grandfather Huw Jones (born 6 Sept. 1879) and previously lived at 32 John Street, George Town , Merthyr Tydfil.
