Albert Medal, bronze, presented to Isaiah Thomas

Albert Medal, Land, Second Class (No 21). Bronze Albert Medal with inverted 'A' and 'V' in centre with red enamel surround, around which words 'FOR GALLANTRY IN SAVING LIFE ON LAND' inside a garter surmounted by a queen's crown with loop suspension and a crimson and white silk ribbon. In original red box (broken) with inscription in gold letters stamped on top of cover.

Presented to Isiah Thomas, Colliery Manager, for saving life at Tynewydd Colliery, April 1877.
