Albert Medal, Land, Second Class (No 21), presented to Isiah Thomas, Colliery Manager, for saving life at Tynewydd Colliery, April 1877.

Bronze Albert Medal with inverted 'A' and 'V' in centre with red enamel surround, around which words 'FOR GALLANTRY IN SAVING LIFE ON LAND' inside a garter surmounted by a queen's crown with loop suspension and a crimson and white silk ribbon. In original red box (broken) with inscription in gold letters stamped on top of cover.
