Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Iron Age copper alloy collar

A thick semi-circular plate with, at one end, the remains of the attachment for a hinge, at the other end a groove for a pin apparently for a fastening. The underface is plain; the upper is decorated in low relief with a series of pointed leaf-forms with hemispherical raised bosses riveted to the plate forming trumpet units of Llyn Cerrig Bach tradition, but with marginal piping linked by S-scrolls.

Bronze neck-collar, decorated in late Celtic art style.
