Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Launch party of the M.V. HOUSTON CITY at Furness shipyard Co. Ltd., Haverton Hill-on-Tees, 29 November 1933, by Mrs Henry Mercer. The photograph shows Mr & Mrs Henry Mercer at centre with their two daughters in front of them. On Mrs Mercer's right are Gertrude Popham, Arthur Popham and Alan Reardon Smith (Sir W. Reardon Smith's grandson) Photographers stamp bottom right. The vessel got stuck on the slipway, and was floated off on the next high tide.
