Cup, tea and saucer

Tea cup, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim, curving slightly ogee sides, loop handle; to the front of the cup a lobed oval panel painted in polychrome enamels with figures in a landscape, the panel bordered by elaborate scrolls in red and gilt, a further border of elaborate scrolls in gilt around the upper body of the cup, the handle picked out in gilt, gilt lines around the foot-rim and lip-rim. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim and curving sides; to the well a lobel panel painted in polychrome enamels with figures in a landscape, the panel enclosed by a border as on the cup, a further border as on the cup around the sides of the well, a gilt line around the edge of the rim.
