Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, inset base and straight flaring sides; the upperside covered with a deep blue ground against which is reserved to the well a square panel framed in gilt and finely painted in grey monochrome with an amorini in a landscape, around the sides of the well scattered gilt sprigs and dots, around the rim an elaborate gilt border of scrolls and stylized flowers.
