Cup, tea and saucer

Tea cup, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim, rounded sides and plain loop handle; decorated in black monochrome with to one side of the body a goat reclining in a landscape and to the other side two pieces of masonry, around the interior lip-rim a rococo border of gilt scrolls and black trellis work, the foot-rim and handle picked out in black. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim and curving sides; decorated in black monochrome with to the well two sheep standing in a brook, around the rim a rococo border as on the cup.
