Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Badge 'Gay Liberation Front' worn by Mike Ashdown who was involved with the Cardiff Campaign for Homosexual Equality throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, initially as Group Secretary, then from about 1974 to 1977 as Convenor. Cardiff Gay Liberation Front was founded in July 1971, but after several independent meetings it merged with Cardiff Campaign for Homosexual Equality, and the combined group held weekly meetings of some twenty to thirty members in Chapter Arts Centre.
