Coffee pot and cover, pearlware, globular body with simple S-shaped spout, spreading foot rim with inset base, simple loop handle, domed cover with acorn knop (restored); the body painted in underglaze blue with a stylized, Chinoserie style pagoda and garden with a river in the foreground, a slight variation of which is painted on the opposite side, the rim has a trellis border with scallops at the lower edge, the handle and spout are both painted with a line of stylised leaf fronds painted down their length, the spout also with a plain band at its opening and two leaf sprigs, the cover also has a trellis border with intersecting short, curved lines at the lower edge, two stylised vases with plants and a fence are painted at either side of the knop, between which are schematically painted, distant birds.
